Midnighte Creations...Who am I?

Midnighte Creations has a little bit of a back story which starts 10 years ago under my cosplay alias Midnighte Fox (current). In 2014 I began learning the art of sewing and thus began my costume making (cosplay) journey with guidance from a distant cousin. I had always wanted to cosplay and loved the idea of pretty clothing and being able to dress as a demon, fairy or anything that I desired or character that I desired to become.

Along my costume making journey over the past 10 years my skills and creativity have developed over time where I have made a fair few cosplays for myself and a few other commissioned pieces for some of my friends. I have worked with fabrics, EVA foam and other different material types to create these pieces.

Going back to 2021 I had my firstborn and noticed that little boys did not have access to a variety of colors nor a variety of interests that were not dinosaurs, vehicles and a few different licensed items such as Marvel, Bluey, Pokemon, etc. Moving onto 2023 when I had my second born I found even though girls had a lot more variety than boys I still was wanting different items to what most retailers were selling.

Now come October 2024 I have been working on launching my business Midnighte Creations which incorporates my love for sewing and making cute outfits as well as fulfilling my love for pop culture by utilising licensed fabrics of my kids and I interests. Being able to turn them into cute little outfits for all of our beautiful children to wear is my dream.

I strive to create well made, long lasting children's clothing and accessories (coming in the near future) in my favourite styles that is comfortable in the Australian weather whilst also making our little ones stand out!

Why the name Midnighte Creations?

How did I arrive at the name of Midnighte Creations?

At the beginning of my sewing and cosplay journey I started under a different alias and over the years I have rebranded that cosplay alias twice finally arriving at Midnighte Fox.

The name Midnighte came from always staying up till past midnighte making cosplays, gaming or just chatting online. When I went through the rebranding process of my cosplay alias the name Midnight was not available so I thought why not just add an e just because I was adamant about having Midnight in my name.

Fox is simple I love arctic foxes and fennec foxes in particular and it sat better than something related to horses even though I love horses and unicorns.

So thats basically how I arrived at Midnighte Fox as my cosplay alias and since by this stage I was already doing custom commissions of cosplays under that alias I came up with the name of Midnighte creations. Thus it connects my love of costume making and my history associated with it through the name of Midnighte and my passion for creating new handmade items hence Creations and thus Midnighte Creations was born.

Originally I intended to have Midnighte Creations as a cosplay commissioning business however as time went on and I had my 2 children my direction changed to children's clothing whilst still integrating the pop culture fabrics and little tweaks to add little customised flair to the pieces.
